We lived up to our G-14 Installer of the Year title on the Southchurch Mews project in Southend – winning both Keepmoat’s Contractor of the Month award, and our fitter Garry Smith getting a special mention as Employee of the Month.
Keepmoat’s senior site manager Mark Dugard commented on the fact The Window Company as a whole was a pleasure to work with and complimented Garry in particular on his professional approach, supervisory skills, quality workmanship and highest level of Health and Safety performance.
Started in 2014, the project is unusual in that it includes a series of special First World War centenary windows which have integrated poppy motifs and feature window frames which had to be built around outside corners of the properties.
We worked closely with our VEKA trade partner Glazerite on this project and they were able to supply us with the frameless windows which were required as well as curtain walling for the stairwells in the apartment blocks.
